As far as Johnson and his role in Vietnam was perceived in the museum, it definitely talked about how great he was and his accomplishments rather than pointing out the negative aspects. But what could we really expect? We are in Texas, where he is from and he was the President of the United States, not to mention it is called the "LBJ Museum." Although it didn't show both sides it was still interesting to "walk" through his life and see everything he had to deal with. I loved seeing physical evidence because it is one thing to read about something but another to see, hear, observe things first handed. I love field trips like this and thats why I'm excited to make a documentary, to be able to participate in something. I'm eager to see how our class, who just started learning and interpreting rhetoric and Vietnam, can create a documentary that portrays both! :)

Field Trip!
Being not a history buff, the LBJ museum was a good experience for me because it was visual representation of that time period. Throughout this class, I have gained a lot of knowledge on the Vietnam War, however, I never put it into perspective to other events like the MLK period. I didn't realize how so much was going on during that time in our history so it was interesting to see it all layed out and linked together.
