SO MUCH TO DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.....
It takes every ounce of my carbon based being NOT to micromanage everyone and everything...
There are so many components that go into making a short film, and 100% of us need to have our act together 100% of the time.
We all realize that this is a team effort type project, but at some point we're all going to think "Someone else will take care of it," or "I don't have to do it now". The hardest part is probably going to be getting and staying on top of our duties.
We're all going to need to look out for the things that we have up in the air. Forgetting anything will be catastrophic** What worries me the most during our discussions is that we're planning and telling each other what to do but there's no concrete proof stuffs going to be done by the time it's suppose to be. Hence my need to micromanage. But part of working in a team is trust, so that's what I'm going to do...
As for my roll as editor, for now, I think I've got it under control. That might change once we've got bunches of footage. Erica joined our team so now we have 3 editors to split the work PLUS Matt's help PLUS Jason's help (Chalk up a mark underneath teamwork) so we won't have to many problems with time. There is all sorts of potential for discrepancies between idea interpretation...We'll see how that works out..
*Jason, Annum, I do not envy you.
** ...or doomed or look silly, or both. OR all three
