Today we elucidated the greatness of New Jersey, Jon Stewart, and Bruce Springsteen. And we discussed, in depth and with terrific insight, the rhetorical workings of Jim Sheppard's essay. Am I wrong to suggest it was another excellent class?
For Thursday: no mandatory blog (though as usual, it remains open and ready for business); keep making observations; first draft of your RA#1 is due Thursday: bring it to class. Watch as much Jon Stewart as you can, critically. See if you can begin to label his rhetorical moves. I'm serious about this.
For what it's worth: watching the clip above makes me cry. Really does. Watch it again and tell me you don't feel the tears of loss and redemption.
