I think a "then and now" approach would work extremely well for this film. We would have two core groups of interviewees: 'Nam vets in Austin (should we be able to find any who are willing to sit down and talk) and Gulf War 2 participants (I say participants because we could get both vets and future recruits/ROTC). We would ask them similar questions and compare/contrast their answers and experiences, using them to show the similarities and differences between the two conflicts. Much in the spirit of H&M, we could get public domain footage of politicians and actual fighting to splice in between the interviews to get the emotive responses we want.
